On the next pages, all recordings are presented as MP3-files. I hope the quality of the MP3-files is good enough to give you an idea of how the pieces are to be played. Not all intonations can be expressed in the note sheets.
You may download and distribute these files as far as you will not use these files or note sheets for commercial issues. You may not sell the MP3-files or the note sheets. You are allowed to play my compositions on public performances, you are not allowed to record them on your own ( if this should be your wish, please contact me ). You are not allowed to change the MP3-files or to hide my authorship.
By downloading the files you accept the agreements above. | | | |
Click with left mouse button on the title to hear the MP3-file ( presumed you installed a MP3-player ). Click with right mouse button to download the MP3-file. If you would like to see or to download the corresponding notes, just click on "PDF".
Remark that not all pieces have been placed as notesheets. They will be added in the future. Please, remark also, that most of the note sheets come from older versions of graphical notation programs. They will be replaced in the future by new graphical pages, including a more exact notation and graphical frets indications. |

During an International Guitar Symposium in Wolfville (Canada) in summer 2007 I missed my breakfast and went downtown for a offee shop. I met Tom Johnson along with other guitarrists, joined them for two cups. Being still tired I didn't take part in their iscussion. After half an hour I told Tom I wanted to go back to my room for playing a bit. Tom stared at me and said: "OK, Hans, you go back to your room, you'll get your guitar nd you'll play some nice tunes. And Hans: DON'T TALK SO MUCH". The cover shows the park of the Acadian University of Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada, where the Symposium took place.
Morris Islandrecorded January 2008 Montanarecorded : April 2006
Cohiba recorded : Dezember 2003
Der Rote Milan recorded : Dezember 2003 Der Rote Milan was the name of our childgang during the late sixties.Gone in all directions, we lost contact very early.More than thirty years passed when two of them found my web-site. They sent me an email and the firework of remembrance of that long passed time is the contents of the piece having the same name as the CD itself. I composed that one only in a couple of days. The photo was taken during the “Saitenfestival” in September 2002, Kellinghusen/Germany.
Rondena recorded : 23.12.2001 bis 30.12.2001 Rondeña is a term for an old traditional flamenco form, having no fixed rhythmical pattern and using very special scales made possible due to a different tuning of the guitar. All pieces on this CD are composed and played in Rondeña-tuning ( E -> D, G-> F# ) . Retuning the guitar permits to play scales and accords which are not possible when using the traditional tuning. Rondeña is a tribute to Baden Powell whose sambas still influences my music and to Jan Hengmith , who introduced me in the art of flamenco guitar
