First guitar lessons at the age of 8 by my eldest brother

To my 14.th birthday, I got my first record from Baden Powell ( Estudios ), since then I tried to play the pieces I heard on that record. It took me about ten years to develop the technics and the "ear" for the brazilian rhythms and finally I was able to play nearly all recordings from Baden Powell. His music is still the basis for my compositions.

At the age of 30 I found interest in flamenco music and I had the great chance of having lessons by Jan Hengmith ( Hamburg ), one of the best German Flamenco guitarist. Flamenco scales still influence me so that over the years, I took over flamenco scales into my brazilian music.

After my studies of mathematics, computer science and French language, I began working as a specialist for Relational Databases on Unix. Currently, I work in the area of Data Warehousing, administrating large Oracle databases and automizing processes with Perl and Shell-scripts.
